"Hamel Painters is superb. From my very first interaction with Nate, the owner, to the last they were extremely professional, reliable, and did fantastic work. I had Don on the job, and he was incredible. Not only was he very neat (there was literally not a drop of paint on any surface other than the walls), but he typically finished each room in one day and put all the furniture back in its place and vacuumed so that there was no trace of any paintwork in the room. They were also very sensitive to the fact that I am pregnant and made sure that the windows were open throughout the day in order to reduce the paint fumes. But most importantly, their work is flawless. My cousin, who is a decorator in LA and has done work for some celebrities, said that Hamel Painters did some of the best work she's seen. I highly recommend Hamel and will absolutely be using them again."

"The project went extremely well, and I'm very happy with the results. Nate provided a detailed quote, itemizing all the various elements of the job, and the final invoice was consistent with the quote - no surprises about pricing. He was also easy to reach during the planning phase and very flexible when it looked like some last minute changes in my schedule would affect what I'd asked him to do. The work was executed extremely well. I used very strong, vibrant colors on the walls and white on the trim and ceiling, so the edges around the ceiling and the trim really would show any imperfections, but everything looks very clean and sharp. The crew were considerate and careful about my house and possessions while working; I had just had my floors refinished when they began work and they covered them very carefully to be sure they weren't damaged during the work. All in all, they were a pleasure to deal with. I went back and forth on my score for price; I think their pricing is a little higher than some other contractors, but they do very high-quality work, and I feel like I received value consistent with what I paid."

"Again, an excellent experience with this company. Hamel Painters performed the work on about 2 weeks notice. I've used them on several projects and my experience with this one was no different than the rest. Because this was such a large project there were many different completion deadlines involved. The master suite was completed first and on schedule. This was followed by the remaining upstairs bedrooms, halls, foyar, downstairs and finally the basement. The crews showed up on time and worked long hours and holidays (they worked on labor day) to meet each completion deadline without missing one. Nate left the country for about a week to go on vacation during the project, but everything continued smoothly in his absence. There was a small punch list at the end of the project, but that is to be expected on any project of this size and detail."

"It went very well. They did a good job and the surfaces look excellent. They also filled little discrepancies and gaps with filler. The ceilings and walls look very good. They used paint with very low VOCs, i.e. volatile hydrocarbons, so there was little smell from the paint. One of the primers did smell though. We also found that the bedroom paint was of a color slightly different from our original intention. There was a change of brand to achieve the low volatility and the color of the new brand, Sherwin Williams, was slightly different from our expectation based on the color of the Benjamin Moore. Nate offered to repaint the bedroom at no charge to us, but we felt the difference was so slight that we declined his generous offer."
